Bill Hicks Unedited Interview: Part 2 of 4 | We Are Funny Project

Dec 15 / Alfie Noakes

This is Part 2 of the original four-part release of a never-broadcast Bill Hicks interview, filmed in a bar in the early 1990s.

The We Are Funny Project unearthed this footage on VHS more than thirty years ago. During lockdown it was uploaded in four separate parts. It deserved better than that.

The full twenty-two minutes is now available in a single clean video. If you want to watch the complete unedited interview in one go, you can find it here:

What this section reveals, perhaps more than anything, is how Bill Hicks was off stage.

Thoughtful, curious and surprisingly gentle in conversation, yet still utterly uncompromising in his convictions. It is a fascinating insight into one of the most important comedians who ever lived.
